Design Project Manager

We are looking for an experienced Design Project Manager to lead the end-to-end design delivery of CTS Nordics’ data center projects, from concept and feasibility through detailed design, construction support, and close-out. You will provide strategic and technical leadership across all design disciplines, ensuring that client requirements, operational needs, future technologies, and sustainability objectives are fully integrated. You will lead multidisciplinary teams and external partners to deliver resilient, scalable, and high-quality solutions that meet project, business, and regulatory requirements.

What You’ll Do

You will take a holistic approach to design leadership, ensuring alignment with business goals, growth strategies, and digital transformation. You will act as a central bridge between business development and project execution, planning for future technologies such as AI, cloud computing, and high-density infrastructure. You will integrate sustainability, energy efficiency, and green building standards into every stage of the design.

You will capture and formalize client requirements, manage scope and change control, and act as the main interface between clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams. You will lead multidisciplinary design teams from concept through construction and handover, ensuring design integrity, constructability, resilience, and compliance.

You will also support on-site execution, ensuring design intent is implemented correctly, managing RFIs, supporting commissioning, and overseeing as-built documentation. In parallel, you will mentor and develop design teams, manage budgets and resources, and support commercial and financial performance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading end-to-end design delivery from feasibility to close-out

• Acting as the main bridge between business development and execution

• Capturing and managing client requirements and change control

• Coordinating all design disciplines (MEP, CSA, IT, security, specialist systems)

• Integrating future technologies, scalability, and sustainability

• Ensuring design quality, compliance, and constructability

• Supporting on-site execution, RFIs, and design clarifications

• Preparing handover and as-built documentation

• Managing design budgets, resources, and reporting

• Mentoring and developing multidisciplinary teams

Who We’re Looking For

You hold a degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline, and have strong experience leading multidisciplinary design teams on complex data center or critical infrastructure projects. You understand the full design lifecycle and how it connects to construction, commissioning, and operations. You are strategic, proactive, and solution-oriented, with strong leadership and client-facing skills. Chartered Engineer status is a plus.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent

• Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams

• Strong background in data center or mission-critical facilities

• Knowledge of power, cooling, IT, security, and CSA systems

• Understanding of sustainability, high-density infrastructure, and future technologies

• Proficiency in BIM, Revit, MS Project, and document management tools

• Strong knowledge of codes, regulations, and HSE standards

• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
