About the Role
The Planning Manager will lead the Planning and Scheduling team in Seinajoki to deliver effective project scheduling, monitoring, and reporting for construction projects. The role involves overseeing all aspects of planning, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with organizational and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
· Lead and manage the Planning and Scheduling team, including senior planners, schedulers, and coordinators.
· Allocate resources effectively across projects, ensuring the team delivers high-quality schedules and reports.
· Oversee the development, review, and approval of baseline schedules for construction projects.
· Ensure project schedules are robust, realistic, and account for potential risks.
· Lead the implementation of advanced scheduling techniques, such as critical path analysis, resource optimization, and what-if scenario planning.
· Oversee the preparation of detailed project status reports for senior management.
· Collaborate with project managers, engineers and clients to align schedules with project objectives.
· Develop and maintain best practices, standards, and templates for planning and scheduling processes.
· Ensure adherence to organizational policies and industry regulations.
· Perform any additional tasks or responsibilities relevant to the role as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
· 9+ years of experience in construction project planning and scheduling, with experience in a managerial role.
· Proven experience managing schedules for large-scale construction projects.
· Proficiency in scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
· Expertise in Earned Value Management (EVM), critical path analysis, and resource levelling.
· Certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PSP (Planning and Scheduling Professional) is highly desirable.
