BIM Specialist Quantity Surveyour
We're Hiring for Junior Level, Intermediate Level and Senior Level for this Role.
Experience required: Junior Level: 3-5 years of Experience, Intermediate Level: 5-10 years of Experience and for Senior Level: 10-15 years of Experience.
Job Purpose
The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the accurate measurement, quantification, and analysis of construction and engineering requirements based on project documentation and design information. The role will support project teams in establishing reliable quantities for execution, identifying errors and omissions in project documentation, and collaborating with stakeholders to develop suitable technical solutions. A strong focus will be placed on the use of BIM and digital tools to improve quantity take-off, project accuracy, and efficiency across complex construction and engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
Quantity Take-Off & Measurement
Measure and quantify materials, components, and construction requirements based on execution design documentation, ensuring accurate and reliable quantity take-offs.
BIM-Based Quantification
Utilize BIM models and quantity extraction tools to obtain, validate, and analyse quantities where applicable, supporting more efficient and accurate measurement processes.
Design Review & Validation
Review project documentation, drawings, and models to identify errors, inconsistencies, omissions, and potential quantity discrepancies that may impact project execution.
Stakeholder Coordination
Collaborate with engineers, designers, contractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders to clarify requirements, validate quantities, and identify suitable technical and construction solutions.
Digital Tools & Data Management
Use BIM, CAD, and other digital engineering tools to support quantity measurement, documentation, and project analysis.
Quantity Analysis & Reporting
Organize, validate, and present quantity data in clear and structured formats to support project planning, cost-related analysis, procurement, and decision-making.
Project Documentation
Maintain accurate quantity records and ensure that measurement outputs are aligned with the latest approved project documentation and design information.
Quality & Accuracy
Apply systematic checking procedures to ensure the completeness, consistency, and accuracy of quantity take-offs and related project information.
Continuous Improvement
Contribute to the improvement of digital quantity surveying workflows, BIM-based measurement processes, and company standards and methodologies.
Project Support & Mobility
Provide quantity surveying support across project stages and travel to project locations when required.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education
Master's degree in Engineering, preferably Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering. Candidates with other relevant qualifications and at least 2 years of proven professional experience in quantity surveying or a related field may also be considered.
Experience
2+ years of relevant professional experience in quantity surveying, quantity take-off, construction measurement, or a related engineering/construction role.
Industry Expertise
Experience in critical infrastructure facilities such as Data Centers, buildings, high-tech industrial projects such as semiconductor facilities, and/or modular and prefabrication construction is highly valued.
BIM Knowledge
Familiarity with BIM methodology, workflows, and BIM software, with an understanding of how digital models can support quantity measurement and project delivery.
Quantity Extraction
Experience with software for extracting quantities from BIM models is highly desirable.
CAD Skills
Knowledge of CAD tools and the ability to interpret technical drawings and project documentation.
Data & Office Tools
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Microsoft Excel, for quantity analysis, data organization, and reporting.
Technical Analysis
Strong ability to interpret execution designs, identify discrepancies and omissions, and assess information from multiple project sources.
Language Skills
Intermediate proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Communication & Collaboration
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
