Weβre looking for a Construction Quality Control Technician to join our project team in Viana do Castelo.
This is a hands-on opportunity for a construction or engineering professional who is passionate about quality, compliance and getting things right on site.
Working closely with Site Management and operational teams, youβll help ensure that materials, equipment and construction activities meet approved designs, contractual specifications, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), applicable legislation and project quality requirements.
What will you be doing?
Youβll play an important role in monitoring quality throughout project execution, working directly with site teams to identify issues, maintain standards and support continuous improvement.
Your responsibilities will include:
π Supporting Site Management in the implementation and monitoring of quality processes
π§± Assisting with the selection, inspection and control of construction materials and equipment
π Verifying that materials and equipment comply with approved designs, specifications and contractual requirements
ποΈ Monitoring construction activities and operational quality controls
π Ensuring compliance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
βοΈ Verifying compliance with construction standards, legislation and contractual specifications
π Supporting the preparation and implementation of Quality Management System documentation
π Maintaining and controlling quality procedures, records and project documentation
π Collecting, monitoring and reporting quality performance indicators
π Conducting and supporting quality inspections
β οΈ Recording and following up on non-conformities
π§ Supporting the implementation and monitoring of corrective and preventive actions
π· Participating in quality training, information and awareness activities for site personnel
π Preparing quality reports and providing relevant information to Project Management
π‘ Identifying opportunities and proposing actions for continuous improvement of the Quality Management System
What are we looking for?
Your technical and professional background:
π Degree or technical qualification in Civil Engineering, Quality Engineering, Construction or a related discipline
Previous experience in quality control within construction or engineering projects
Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and construction quality requirements
Experience with Inspection and Test Plans, inspections, non-conformities and corrective actions
Good understanding of construction standards, specifications and technical requirements
Strong documentation and analytical skills
π High level of organisation and attention to detail
π¬ Good communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with operational and site teams
π¬π§ Advanced English β mandatory
π Availability to work on-site in Viana do Castelo, Portugal
