Junior Controller
Join a growing data centre business in Helsinki as a Junior Controller, managing invoice processes and supporting project teams, monthly closing and the development of finance.
Junior Controller
CTS Nordics Oy is the Finnish subsidiary of CTS Group, one of Europe’s leading design and build contractors specialising in high-tech data centres. Finnish operations generated approximately €200 million in revenue in 2025 and continue to expand in step with demand in the digital infrastructure sector.
About the role
We are looking for a proactive and reliable Junior Controller to join our lean Finnish finance team. You will work closely with the Country Finance Lead and act as the first point of contact for the many day-to-day questions and ad hoc issues that come into finance from across the business.
A key part of the role is managing our purchase invoice process. Invoice processing is outsourced to our external accounting partner, and with a high invoice volume, you will make sure the process runs smoothly and that issues get resolved. Alongside this, you will handle customer invoicing and support the Country Finance Lead in the monthly closing and group reporting. You will also provide service to our project teams and construction site cost controllers. The role suits someone who enjoys a fast pace, takes ownership and sees things through from start to finish.
The role is based at our office in Helsinki city centre. Our whole Helsinki team works together at the office, as close day-to-day collaboration across the team and project organisation is at the heart of how we work, with some flexibility when needed.
Your main responsibilities
Manage the outsourced purchase invoice process with a high invoice volume, together with our external accounting partner.
Serve as a service-minded finance contact for project teams and cost controllers, resolving invoice issues and other finance queries.
Prepare and issue customer invoices.
Support the Country Finance Lead in the monthly closing and group reporting.
Investigate and solve day-to-day finance issues as they arise, and see them through to resolution.
Maintain and update financial reports.
Carry out ad hoc financial analysis for the Country Finance Lead and group finance.
Take part in building a scalable finance function and in development projects, such as the implementation of a new accounting system and finance processes.
What we expect from you
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in accounting, accounts payable, auditing, controlling or other finance roles.
Basic knowledge of Finnish accounting and VAT.
A proactive, thorough and service-minded way of working.
Ability to take ownership of tasks and see them through from start to finish.
Ability to manage and prioritise several tasks and ad hoc requests at the same time in a fast-paced environment.
Good Excel skills and a willingness to learn new tools. Experience with Power BI or AI tools is an advantage but not required.
Experience working with an external accounting partner or shared service centre is an advantage.
Experience from the construction industry or other project-based businesses (for example infrastructure, real estate or data centres) is an advantage but not required.
Fluent Finnish and professional-level English, both spoken and written.
What we offer
An opportunity to join a fast-growing, international high-tech company at the forefront of the European data centre sector.
A broad, hands-on role with direct exposure to the Country Finance Lead and group finance.
The chance to help build a scalable finance function and take part in change projects from the ground up.
Room to grow your skills and responsibilities as the company and the function develop.
A professional, international and collaborative environment.
A centrally located office in Helsinki city centre, easy to reach by public transport.
A competitive compensation package with attractive benefits.
