Aftermarket and Warranty Manager

📍 Oslo, Norway | Travel to project sites

We are looking for an experienced Aftermarket and Warranty Manager to join CTS Nordics AS at our head office in Oslo.

You will take ownership of completed hyperscale data centre projects through their aftermarket and warranty phases, ensuring defects, outstanding works, variations, and claims are followed through to documented closure.

This role combines practical site follow-up with commercial responsibility. It is ideal for a structured and proactive construction professional who enjoys resolving complex issues, coordinating teams, and building constructive client relationships.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Take ownership of project aftermarket handovers, including outstanding works, defects, warranties, variation orders, claims, and final account matters.

• Plan and lead one-year inspections under the applicable NS 8407 contracts, ensuring clear actions, responsibilities, and deadlines.

• Assess reported defects with technical teams and establish their cause and contractual responsibility.

• Coordinate safe and timely rectification with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.

• Maintain an accurate variation order register, tracking outstanding matters through approval, invoicing, and payment.

• Progress historical variations and unresolved claims, gathering the records and evidence needed for resolution.

• Work closely with Commercial and Legal on post-handover client claims and contractual responses.

• Track contractual deadlines and pursue subcontractor and supplier obligations, including recoverable costs.

• Report commercial exposure, rectification costs, recovery opportunities, and lessons learned.

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications

• Degree or technical qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.

• Substantial relevant practical experience may compensate for formal education.

Experience

• Typically 7+ years of relevant experience in construction, project delivery, commercial management, or aftermarket services.

• Proven experience in handover, defect rectification, warranty follow-up, and commercial close-out.

• Experience progressing outstanding variation orders, resolving disputed scope, and substantiating claims.

• Practical experience with one-year inspections and NS 8407 contracts is strongly preferred.

• Data centre, EPC, or comparable mission-critical project experience is an advantage.

Skills & Knowledge

• Working knowledge of NS 8407, including defects, variations, notices, and final account procedures.

• Strong commercial judgement, negotiation skills, and attention to documentation.

• Ability to distinguish warranty obligations and outstanding contracted work from new client requirements.

• Understanding of building services and technical interfaces within complex facilities.

• Ability to interpret contracts, drawings, commissioning records, and operations and maintenance documentation.

• Confidence using Excel, document management systems, and commercial tracking tools.

• Professional English; Norwegian language skills are strongly preferred.
