Electrical Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer to support the design, coordination, and execution of electrical systems on data center projects. You will review designs, ensure compliance with technical standards, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, support procurement and installation, resolve technical issues, and help deliver safe, high-quality, and on-time projects.

What You’ll Do

You will design and develop electrical systems, including power distribution, grounding, and lightning protection. You will create and manage single-line diagrams, schematics, and panel schedules using EPLAN and Revit, and perform power system analysis using ETAP or similar tools. You will validate lighting and emergency lighting designs with DIALux and ensure seamless integration with mechanical, civil, and architectural systems. You will participate in design reviews, prepare documentation and BOQs, support commissioning teams, and ensure compliance with local codes and global data center standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing electrical systems for power distribution, grounding, and lighting

• Creating and managing schematics, single-line diagrams, and panel schedules

• Performing power system analysis (short circuit, load flow, arc flash, protection coordination)

• Validating lighting and emergency lighting designs

• Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams for seamless integration

• Participating in peer design reviews and ensuring compliance with IEC, IEEE, NEC, NFPA 70E

• Preparing design documentation, specifications, and BOQs

• Supporting commissioning and responding to RFIs during construction

• Reviewing and approving electrical design documents, drawings, and calculations

• Issuing technical inputs, design change requests, and clarifications

Who We’re Looking For

You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and have proven experience in electrical design and project execution. Junior candidates should have 3+ years of experience, intermediate 5+ years, and senior 8+ years including leadership of data center or mission-critical projects. You are proficient in ETAP, EPLAN, Revit, and DIALux, and familiar with SCADA, BMS, and energy monitoring system integration. You understand international standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC, NFPA 70E), local Norwegian regulations, and data center Tier classifications. You are analytical, detail-oriented, proactive, and an effective communicator.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

• 3–8+ years of experience in electrical design and project execution

• Proficiency in ETAP, EPLAN, Revit, DIALux, and other relevant tools

• Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and data center Tier concepts

• Experience with power systems, grounding, lighting, and protection

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

• Fluency in English; Norwegian or other European languages is a plus

• Leadership and mentorship abilities (for senior level)
