We are looking for a structured and proactive HSE Auditor to join our construction projects in Norway. You will play a key role in ensuring our subcontractors comply with labor, HSE, and regulatory requirements, helping us promote fair working conditions and a responsible supply chain. This is a site-focused role with close collaboration across HSE, Compliance, HR, and Procurement teams.
About the Role
CTS Nordics is seeking a structured and proactive HSE Auditor to join our construction projects across Norway. You will play a key role in ensuring subcontractors comply with labor, HSE, and regulatory requirements, promoting fair working conditions and a responsible supply chain. This site-based position involves close collaboration across HSE, Compliance, HR, and Procurement teams.
What You’ll Do
Plan, perform, and follow up on audits of subcontractors, verifying compliance with Norwegian labor laws, the Working Environment Act, the Construction Clients’ Regulations (Byggherreforskriften), the Act on the Generalization of Collective Agreements (Påseplikten), and the Proclamation on the Duty of Information and Supervision and the Right to Access (Forskrift om informasjons- og påseplikt og innsynsrett).
Conduct document reviews, interviews, and on-site inspections to ensure subcontractor adherence to legal, contractual, and HSE obligations.
Follow up on non-compliances, implement corrective actions, and prepare audit reports for management.
Support improvements in internal procedures, contracts, and control systems to strengthen subcontractor compliance.
Advise internal teams on HSE, compliance, and subcontractor management, including handling access-to-information requests from employee representatives.
Who We’re Looking For
Relevant education in HSE, auditing, law, HR, or a related field.
Experience with HSE audits, subcontractor follow-up, or compliance work in construction.
Strong knowledge of Norwegian labor laws, collective agreements, and regulatory frameworks including Allmenngjøringsloven, Byggherreforskriften, Påseplikten, and related HSE provisions.
Fluent English; Norwegian language skills are a strong advantage.
Structured, thorough, and self-driven with high integrity.
Confident in engaging subcontractors and internal stakeholders, capable of handling complex and sensitive matters with discretion.
