The Role

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our project delivery team. This role will lead the coordination, integration, and management of all design activities across a large-scale data center project, ensuring alignment with client requirements, schedule, cost, and constructability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design management process from pre-construction through project execution and handover

• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams (architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical)

• Act as the primary interface between client, consultants, and construction teams

• Ensure designs meet data center-specific standards (resilience, redundancy, scalability, and sustainability)

• Review and manage design deliverables, drawings, and specifications for compliance and quality

• Identify and mitigate design risks; drive value engineering and optimization initiatives

• Support procurement strategy by aligning design packages with construction sequencing

• Manage design changes and ensure effective change control processes

• Participate in technical workshops, design reviews, and stakeholder meetings

• Ensure design solutions are aligned with local regulations, codes, and permitting requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field (Master’s preferred)

• 8+ years of experience in design management or project engineering, preferably in data centers or mission-critical environments

• Proven track record delivering large-scale data center or similar complex infrastructure projects

• Strong understanding of MEP systems and critical infrastructure design principles

• Experience working with general contractors, consultants, and hyperscale clients

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven project environment

• Familiarity with BIM, digital design coordination tools, and design management platforms
