Integrated Systems Manager, Site Seinäjoki
We are seeking an experienced Integrated Systems Manager to lead the delivery, integration, testing, commissioning and handover of BMS, EPMS, ELV, ICT and Fire Alarm systems on a major data centre project.
Role Purpose
Working as part of the Project Leadership Team, the role will take overall responsibility for the delivery, integration, testing, commissioning and handover of BMS, EPMS, ELV, ICT and Fire Alarm systems, ensuring these systems are delivered safely, on programme and in accordance with project specifications, regulatory requirements and client operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Package Delivery
Take overall responsibility for the Integrated Systems package throughout the project lifecycle.
Lead specialist subcontractors, vendors and system integrators, establishing clear scope and interface responsibilities.
Act as the primary point of contact for BMS, EPMS, ELV, ICT and Fire Alarm matters.
Drive safety, quality and performance, reporting progress and risks to the Project Leadership Team.
Design & Technical Coordination
Coordinate design development and review technical submittals, drawings, control philosophies, network architecture and equipment schedules.
Own and maintain the system interface matrix/register across BMS, EPMS, Fire Alarm, ICT, Electrical, Mechanical, CSA, Commissioning, Client Operations and specialist vendors.
Coordinate with Electrical, Mechanical, CSA, Design and Commissioning teams and support BIM coordination.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable standards and local authority requirements.
Coordinate statutory approvals, authority inspections and insurer/client requirements for Fire Alarm and life-safety systems, where applicable.
Systems Scope
Building Management Systems, Electrical Power Monitoring Systems, HVAC controls and plant control systems.
BMS, EPMS and Operational Technology network infrastructure, including associated panels, controllers, gateways, communications links and integration points.
Manage OT network governance requirements, including network segregation, vendor connectivity, access control, firmware readiness and cybersecurity coordination.
Structured cabling, fibre-optic infrastructure, ICT rooms, network cabinets and associated infrastructure.
Public Address, Audio-Visual and Distributed Antenna Systems, where applicable.
Controls containment, interface cabling, communications networks and Fire Detection and Alarm Systems.
Fire Alarm & Life Safety
Manage Fire Alarm design coordination, installation, programming, testing and commissioning.
Coordinate interfaces with BMS, mechanical controls, electrical systems and other building services.
Manage Cause and Effect development, functional testing, verification and client demonstrations.
Support life-safety testing and Integrated Systems Testing.
Planning, Commercial & Procurement
Manage the package programme, procurement schedule, resources and installation sequence.
Monitor engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning progress against the baseline programme.
Manage subcontractor and vendor performance and support technical assessment of tender packages.
Monitor costs, variations and commercial risks with the Project Quantity Surveyor.
Identify and mitigate technical, procurement, programme and interface risks.
Quality, Commissioning & Handover
Ensure compliance with project HSE, QA/QC and commissioning requirements.
Manage inspections, testing records, snagging and punch-list closure.
Coordinate FAT, SAT, functional performance testing and Level 1 to Level 5 commissioning activities.
Ensure alarms, graphics, trends, sequences, reporting, user access and operator requirements are aligned with Client Operations and fully tested through Integrated Systems Testing.
Manage O&M manuals, as-built drawings, test records, training materials and turnover documentation.
Support operator training, system demonstrations and final client handover.
Essential Criteria
Degree or recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Controls, Automation or a related discipline.
Minimum 8 to 10 years’ experience delivering BMS, EPMS, controls, ELV, ICT or Fire Alarm systems on major construction projects, including at least 5 years in package leadership or management.
Strong knowledge of BMS, EPMS, HVAC controls, integrated building systems, Fire Alarm systems and Cause and Effect testing.
Experience with structured cabling, fibre-optic infrastructure, ICT systems and specialist system integrators.
Proven experience in testing, commissioning, systems integration and handover.
Good understanding of programme, procurement, commercial and risk management.
Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Fluent in English.
Desirable Criteria
Data centre or mission-critical project experience.
Experience with major BMS or EPMS platforms and Operational Technology networks.
Experience with BIM, Revit, Navisworks or comparable digital construction platforms.
Experience managing complex Integrated Systems Testing programmes.
Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional accreditation.
