Lead the Delivery of Major Construction Projects
We are looking for an experienced and driven Site Manager to join our growing team in Norway. Reporting directly to the Project Director, you will be responsible for leading all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering complex projects. You will play a critical role in coordinating site operations, managing subcontractors, and acting as the key link between project teams and on-site activities.
The Role
As Site Manager, you will oversee day-to-day construction operations, ensuring work progresses efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance. You will work closely with internal teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors to drive project success from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
Site Leadership
Lead and manage all on-site construction activities.
Ensure works are delivered in line with project schedules and milestones.
Coordinate daily activities and maintain efficient site operations.
Health, Safety & Compliance
Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and company requirements.
Promote a strong safety culture across the site.
Stop unsafe work practices and implement corrective actions when required.
Resource & Construction Management
Manage labour, materials, and equipment to maximise productivity.
Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure contractual and project requirements are met.
Resolve operational challenges and escalate significant issues where necessary.
Quality Assurance
Conduct regular inspections to ensure all works meet project specifications and quality standards.
Approve completed works and support successful project handovers.
Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary on-site point of contact for clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
Maintain clear communication between site teams and project leadership.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
Experience
Minimum 5 years' experience in construction management, including site leadership responsibilities.
Proven track record of delivering construction projects safely and successfully.
Experience on large-scale industrial, infrastructure, or data centre projects is advantageous.
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry regulations.
Understanding of construction quality and safety requirements.
Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office applications.
Experience with BIM and CAD tools is desirable.
Fluent English, both written and spoken.
