We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Package Manager to join our growing project team in Fyresdal, Norway. Reporting to the Project Director, you will take ownership of the mechanical package from installation through commissioning and handover, ensuring works are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The Role
As Mechanical Package Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all mechanical systems on the project, including coordinating subcontractors, managing interfaces, monitoring progress, resolving technical challenges, and driving successful project delivery.
You will be the focal point for all mechanical activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety requirements, and industry regulations while supporting successful commissioning and final handover of mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical Package Delivery
Manage the delivery of all mechanical works throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems meet project requirements.
Monitor programme milestones and drive progress to achieve project objectives.
Team & Subcontractor Management
Lead and coordinate subcontractors and site teams involved in mechanical works.
Monitor performance, productivity, and quality standards across all package activities.
Foster a collaborative and safety-focused site culture.
Quality & Compliance
Conduct inspections and reviews to verify installations meet project specifications.
Ensure compliance with local regulations, building codes, and industry best practices.
Identify and address quality issues before they impact programme delivery.
Technical Leadership
Resolve mechanical and engineering issues during construction and commissioning phases.
Review and approve mechanical designs, plans, and modifications.
Support project teams with technical expertise and practical solutions.
Health & Safety
Ensure safe execution of all mechanical activities on site.
Stop works where safety concerns arise and implement corrective actions as required.
Drive continuous improvement in safety performance across the package.
About You
Qualifications
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience
Minimum 5 years' experience in mechanical management, ideally on large-scale construction projects
Experience delivering complex mechanical packages within mission-critical, industrial, pharmaceutical, or data centre environments is highly desirable.
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems used within data centre construction projects.
Knowledge of construction methods, safety requirements, and industry regulations.
Experience with project management, design, and construction management software.
Fluent English, both written and spoken.
