Camp Facility Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Camp Facility Manager to oversee the daily operations and management of employee accommodation facilities supporting our projects in Norway.

Reporting to the Vice President Purchase (Nordics & Europe), you will be responsible for ensuring that all camp facilities operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company standards. You will lead the delivery of accommodation services, coordinate vendors and contractors, oversee maintenance activities, and ensure a comfortable living environment for all camp residents.

Key Responsibilities

Camp Operations Management

• Oversee the day-to-day operation of employee accommodation facilities.

• Ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and general camp upkeep.

• Coordinate catering, housekeeping, laundry, waste management, and transportation services.

• Monitor occupancy levels and ensure accommodation requirements are met efficiently.

Facilities & Maintenance

• Manage the condition and performance of camp infrastructure, buildings, and utilities.

• Coordinate preventative maintenance programmes and reactive repairs.

• Monitor HVAC, electrical, water, and sanitation systems to ensure operational reliability.

• Liaise with contractors and technical teams to implement facility improvements and upgrades.

Health, Safety & Welfare

• Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and accommodation standards.

• Conduct regular inspections of living quarters, communal facilities, kitchens, and welfare areas.

• Support emergency preparedness plans, drills, and incident response activities.

• Promote resident wellbeing and maintain a safe and healthy living environment.

Resident Services & Administration

• Act as the primary point of contact for camp residents and address concerns promptly.

• Manage room allocations, occupancy records, and access control systems.

• Maintain accurate records relating to accommodation usage and facility operations.

• Coordinate procurement of camp supplies, consumables, and facility-related materials.

Vendor & Contractor Management

• Manage and monitor the performance of external service providers and contractors.

• Ensure service levels are maintained in accordance with contractual obligations.

• Supervise camp staff and coordinate daily operational activities.

• Drive cost-effective service delivery while maintaining high standards of resident satisfaction.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Facility Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

• Technical or vocational qualifications in facility management, building maintenance, or accommodation services are advantageous.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years' experience in facility management, camp management, accommodation services, or hospitality operations.

• Experience within construction, industrial, energy, mining, oil & gas, infrastructure, or project-based environments is highly desirable.

• Proven experience managing contractors, service providers, and multi-service facility operations.

• Experience overseeing employee accommodation or workforce housing facilities is advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of facility management and accommodation operations.

• Knowledge of health, safety, welfare, and sanitation standards.

• Experience coordinating maintenance and building services activities.

• Strong contractor and vendor management capabilities.

• Basic budgeting, procurement, and cost control knowledge.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Strong administrative and reporting skills.

• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
