We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to oversee contract administration and compliance on our major data center project in Kouvola, Finland. This role is essential to ensure contractual obligations are met, risks are managed, and client and subcontractor relationships are maintained effectively.

Role Overview

The Contract Manager will manage all aspects of contract administration for the project, ensuring compliance with the YSE 1998 framework. You will be responsible for managing contractual obligations, evaluating change orders, monitoring subcontractor performance, and providing guidance on claims, risk mitigation, and dispute resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and administer project contracts in accordance with YSE 1998 and company procedures.
• Review and interpret contract documents, specifications, and conditions to ensure compliance.
• Assess change orders, variations, and claims, providing recommendations to project leadership.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and contractual obligations.
• Collaborate with project management, commercial, and legal teams to mitigate risks.
• Support negotiation of subcontractor agreements and client-related contractual matters.
• Maintain accurate contract records, correspondence, and documentation for audits.
• Provide guidance and training to project teams on contractual obligations and procedures.
• Support dispute resolution and ensure issues are addressed in a timely and compliant manner.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Law, or related discipline.
• 5+ years' experience in contract management on large-scale construction projects, preferably data centers or industrial projects.
• Strong understanding and practical experience with YSE 1998 contracts.
• Familiarity with Finnish construction law, procurement, and subcontractor management.
• Experience in evaluating claims, change orders, and contractual risks.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with construction management software is a plus.
• Fluent in English; Finnish language skills are highly desirable.
