The Role

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead the commissioning (Cx) program for a large-scale data center project. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all commissioning activities across electrical, mechanical, and integrated systems to ensure safe and successful project handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the project commissioning strategy and execution plan

• Manage all phases of commissioning, including:

  • Level 1–5 commissioning activities

  • Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)

  • Integrated Systems Testing (IST)

• Coordinate commissioning activities across electrical, mechanical, BMS, and control systems

• Act as the primary interface with client commissioning teams and stakeholders

• Lead and manage the commissioning team, including engineers and specialists

• Ensure systems are tested and validated against design intent, specifications, and client requirements

• Oversee development and execution of commissioning scripts, procedures, and checklists

• Work closely with construction, QA/QC, and design teams to ensure system readiness

• Identify and mitigate commissioning risks and drive issue resolution

• Track and report commissioning progress, deficiencies, and close-out activities

• Ensure proper compilation of handover documentation and system turnover packages

• Support training and handover to operations and facilities teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering

• 10+ years of experience in commissioning, project engineering, or construction delivery

• Proven track record delivering data center or mission-critical commissioning projects

• Strong understanding of MEP systems and their integration in critical environments

• Experience with commissioning levels (L1–L5) and IST processes

• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and complex testing programs

• Strong knowledge of commissioning standards and best practices

• Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure project environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience on hyperscale data center projects

• Familiarity with client-specific commissioning standards (e.g., Microsoft, AWS, Google)

• Knowledge of BMS/SCADA systems and controls integration

• Experience with digital commissioning tools and platforms

• Relevant professional certifications (CxA, LEED, etc.)
