We are seeking an experienced Safety Officer to support the safe delivery of large-scale data center construction projects. The Safety Officer will work on site and report directly to the HSE Lead.

This role is critical to ensuring high safety standards, regulatory compliance, and a proactive safety culture across all construction activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and enforcement of the project Health & Safety management system

• Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with local legislation, client requirements, and company standards

• Conduct site safety inspections, audits, and observations

• Identify hazards, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions, and support corrective and preventive actions

• Participate in incident investigations and support root cause analysis

• Support risk assessments, methods statements (RAMS), and permit-to-work processes

• Deliver and support toolbox talks, safety inductions, and briefings

• Work closely with site management, subcontractors, and the wider EHS team

• Assist in maintaining accurate safety documentation and records

• Promote a strong safety-first culture across the project

Qualifications & Experience

• Relevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field

• Experience in a construction site safety role, preferably on large-scale or complex projects

• Data center, industrial, infrastructure, or mission-critical project experience is an advantage

• Strong knowledge of construction safety legislation and best practices

• Experience working with subcontractors and multi-disciplinary teams

• Ability to communicate clearly and assertively at all levels

• Structured, proactive, and hands-on approach to site safety

• Fluent English required; Finnish language skills are an advantage
