We are seeking an experienced Senior Safety Officer to play a leading role in the day-to-day management of health and safety on large-scale data center construction projects. The Senior Safety Officer will work on site and report to the HSE Lead, acting as a key support to site management and as a mentor to Junior Safety Officers.

This role is suited to a hands-on safety professional with strong construction experience who can drive high safety standards and promote a proactive safety culture across complex, fast-paced worksites.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily health and safety activities on site

• Support the HSE Lead in implementing the project H&S strategy

• Supervise and mentor Junior Safety Officers

• Conduct site safety inspections, audits, and behavioral safety observations

• Ensure compliance with local legislation, client requirements, and company standards

• Review and approve RAMS, permits to work, and high-risk activity plans

• Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions

• Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings

• Work closely with Project Management, Site Management, and subcontractors

• Monitor subcontractor safety performance and drive continuous improvement

• Maintain accurate safety records and reporting

Qualifications & Experience

• Recoqnized qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline

• Minimum 5+ years' experience in construction site safety roles

• Experience on data center, industrial, infrastructure, or mission-critical projects is highly desirable

• Strong working knowledge of construction H&S legislation and best practices

• Experience reviewing RAMS and managing high-risk activities

• Confident communicator with the ability to influence site behaviors

• Proactive, structured, and solution-oriented approach

• Fluent English required; local language skills are an advantage
