Planning Manager, Seinäjoki
We are seeking an experienced Planning Manager to lead project planning and scheduling activities on a large-scale data center construction project. The Planning Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the project programme is realistic, fully integrated, and effectively communicated, supporting informed decision-making by the project leadership team.
The Planning Manager manages and mentors one Planner and works closely with Construction, Engineering, Commercial, Procurement, and Commissioning teams to maintain schedule integrity throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Development & Control
Develop, maintain, and manage the integrated project master schedule
Ensure alignment between construction, engineering, procurement, and commissioning programmes
Establish baseline schedules and manage progress updates and change impacts
Progress Monitoring & Reporting
Collect, validate, and analyze progress data from all disciplines
Identify schedule risks, delays, and opportunities for recovery
Prepare schedule reports, dashboards, and narratives for project leadership and the client
Planning Leadership
Manage and support the Planner, setting priorities and quality standards
Ensure planning methodologies, coding structures, and reporting standards are consistently applied
Interface & Stakeholder Coordination
Work closely with CSA, Mechanical, Electrical, QAQC, HSE, and Commercial teams
Support lookahead planning, sequencing workshops, and recovery planning
Provide schedule input into project decision-making and risk management
Change & Risk Management
Assess time impacts of variations, changes, and risk events
Support claims, extensions of time (EOT), and delay analysis as required
Maintain schedule-related risk registers and mitigation actions
Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
Minimum 8+ years’ experience in project planning and scheduling
Proven experience as a Planning Manager or Senior Planner on large construction projects
Strong proficiency in planning software (e.g. Primavera P6, MS Project)
Experience on data center, industrial, or mission-critical projects is an advantage
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to engage confidently with senior project stakeholders
Fluent English required; Finnish skills are an advantage
