Role Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Project Director to lead the end-to-end delivery of a complex data centre construction project. This senior leadership role will oversee all phases of the project lifecycle from pre-construction and design coordination to commissioning and handover, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery in a mission-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and overall direction for the data centre construction project.

• Oversee project planning, design reviews, procurement, execution, and commissioning.

• Act as the primary point of contact for the client, ensuring expectations are met or exceeded.

• Ensure compliance with project specifications, contractual obligations, health and safety regulations, and industry standards.

• Manage budgets, cash flow, and cost control across all phases of the project.

• Monitor progress against the project program, resolving any issues that threaten project delivery.

• Oversee risk management, quality assurance, and change management processes.

• Lead regular site and client meetings; provide high-level reporting to senior management and stakeholders.

• Ensure proper resource allocation, workforce planning, and performance monitoring.

• Champion a strong safety culture on-site, ensuring zero harm and full regulatory compliance.

• Schedule and chair weekly meetings with your team, the Design team, and the Client.

• Attend and actively contribute to EHS and QA meetings.

• Attend the Morning Whiteboard evening schedule meetings.

• All other duties associated with the role.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.

• 15+ years of experience in construction project management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role on data centre or mission-critical projects.

• Proven track record delivering large-scale, complex projects (over €100M / $100M in value).

• Deep knowledge of data centre infrastructure, including MEP, structural, civil, commissioning, and IT integration.

• Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

• Experience working with hyperscale or colocation clients is highly desirable.

• Engineer or PMP certification is an advantage.
