The Role

We are seeking an experienced Handover & Construction Completion Lead to manage and coordinate all project close-out, system turnover, and handover activities on a large-scale data center project. This role is critical to ensuring a structured, compliant, and efficient transition from construction to operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall handover and completion strategy across the project lifecycle

• Define and implement systemization and turnover processes (e.g., by system, area, or phase)

• Coordinate with construction, QA/QC, and commissioning teams to ensure readiness for handover

• Manage system completions, punch lists, and close-out activities

• Oversee the compilation and validation of handover documentation, including:

  • As-built drawings

  • O&M manuals

  • Test and commissioning records

  • Certificates and compliance documentation

• Ensure all systems are fully completed, tested, and compliant prior to client handover

• Track and report status of system completion, MC (Mechanical Completion), and Cx readiness

• Interface directly with client stakeholders to coordinate inspections and acceptance

• Lead completion meetings, walkdowns, and handover reviews

• Ensure proper use of digital completion and turnover systems/tools

• Identify and mitigate risks that could impact project completion and handover timelines

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field

• 8+ years of experience in construction, QA/QC, commissioning, or project delivery

• Proven experience managing handover, turnover, or project completion processes

• Strong understanding of MEP systems and data center infrastructure

• Experience in systemization and phased handover approaches

• Familiarity with mechanical completion (MC) and commissioning readiness processes

• Experience working in data center or mission-critical environments is strongly preferred

• Strong organizational and documentation management skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven project environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience on hyperscale data center projects

• Familiarity with client-specific handover and commissioning standards (e.g., Microsoft, AWS, Google)

• Experience with digital turnover tools (e.g., WinPCS, Compass, Procore, or similar)

• Knowledge of Level 1–5 commissioning and IST processes

• Background in QA/QC or commissioning roles
