We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Lead to oversee all mechanical systems and services within our construction projects. The successful candidate will manage the end-to-end delivery of mechanical works—including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection—ensuring technical excellence, cost-efficiency, and on-time execution. This role is vital to the successful integration of mechanical systems into high-quality building solutions.
Responsibilities:
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of mechanical systems across assigned projects.
Coordinate with other disciplines (electrical, civil, architectural) to ensure integrated system design and construction.
Supervise and manage mechanical subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
Monitor mechanical work progress and ensure adherence to project schedules and milestones.
Review mechanical designs, specifications, and shop drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Provide technical input during design development, value engineering, and constructability reviews.
Lead the testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems.
Troubleshoot site-based mechanical issues and develop practical solutions.
Ensure all mechanical installations comply with relevant local/international codes, standards, and safety regulations.
Conduct inspections, risk assessments, and quality checks to maintain high construction standards.
Prepare and maintain documentation related to QA/QC, commissioning, and O&M manuals.
Lead and mentor mechanical site engineers and supervisors.
Chair or attend coordination meetings and interface with project stakeholders.
Report mechanical status, risks, and mitigation plans to project leadership.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in mechanical systems delivery on large projects.
Proven experience managing HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systems.
Familiarity with BIM and mechanical design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks).
Strong technical and engineering background in mechanical systems.
Excellent problem-solving and coordination skills.
Strong leadership and communication abilities.
Knowledge of sustainable mechanical solutions (e.g., energy efficiency, green building standards) is a plus.
Fluent in English; additional language skills are advantageous.
