About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects within the company’s project portfolio.
The Project Coordinator will ensure that projects remain aligned with company standards, strategic objectives, timelines, quality requirements, and available resources. The role will also support the development and implementation of project management methodologies, PMO frameworks, reporting processes, and effective resource allocation.
This position is particularly suited to professionals with 5–7 years of project management experience, preferably within the substation, power, or construction industry, and with proven experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
Project Portfolio Management
Oversee the development of the project portfolio, ensuring alignment with company standards and objectives.
Evaluate projects based on strategic objectives, priorities, and resource availability.
Monitor project execution and provide support to ensure adherence to agreed timelines and quality standards.
Develop and implement project management methodologies and processes.
Develop and enforce PMO policies, standards, and frameworks.
Resource & Project Management
Manage resource allocation across projects to optimise efficiency.
Ensure optimal utilisation of personnel, budgets, and technology to support successful project delivery.
Monitor project progress, performance, and resource requirements.
Identify project risks and support effective mitigation of issues that could impact delivery.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
Develop and disseminate regular project status reports.
Prepare regular reports on the performance of individual projects and the overall project portfolio.
Track project progress against established timelines, budgets, and quality requirements.
Analyse project performance data and provide relevant information to support decision-making.
Required Qualifications & Competencies
Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is an advantage.
Experience
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in project management.
Experience in the substation, power, or construction industry is preferred.
Proven track record of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and frameworks.
Experience with project management and scheduling software such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar tools.
Strong project tracking, scheduling, and reporting skills.
Ability to identify, manage, and mitigate project risks effectively.
Ability to interpret and analyse project performance data.
Strong understanding of resource, budget, and project performance monitoring.
Communication & Leadership
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure alignment across projects.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

Contract & Benefits
Employment Terms
1-year fixed-term contract
3-month probation period
Salary: EUR 100,000 per year
Location: Vaasa, Finland
3 weeks on / 1 week off rotation scheme
Insurance & Healthcare
Private health insurance provided by the company.
Occupational healthcare and other statutory insurance provided in accordance with Finnish law.
Annual Leave
Annual holiday entitlement will be provided in accordance with the Finnish Annual Holidays Act (Vuosilomalaki).
Holiday will accrue at a rate of 2 weekdays per full holiday credit month, resulting in a maximum entitlement of 24 weekdays of annual leave during the duration of the contract.
Accommodation & Transportation
Shared accommodation provided while on site.
Shared vehicle provided while on site for business-related purposes.
Business Travel & Expenses
The company will cover approved business-related travel, accommodation, and reasonable reimbursable expenses incurred in connection with business activities and business trips, in accordance with company policies and approval procedures.
This does not include:
Normal commuting to and from the work site.
Personal travel.
Travel to the employee's home or chosen place of residence outside working periods.
Such personal travel will remain the responsibility and cost of the employee unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing by the company.
Replacement & Continuity
To ensure continuity of project management operations:
For an absence of less than one month, the Project Coordinator will be replaced by the Technical Project Coordinator.
For an absence exceeding one month, a temporary replacement will be appointed by senior management.
Internal or external recruitment may be considered in accordance with the applicable DCS Norway replacement policy guidelines.
The appointed replacement will assume the key responsibilities outlined in this position description for the duration of the absence.
